How Unity Started

Unity is a cornerstone of the New Thought movement, inspiring some of the world’s most influential thinkers, including Maya Angelou, Wayne Dyer, Betty White, Florence Scovel-Shinn and Marianne Williamson (just to name a few).

Founded in the late 1800s, Unity began when Myrtle Fillmore cured herself of tuberculosis through Christian principles, Somatic Body spiritual practices and prayer. Her husband, Charles, adopted her methods, and together they created a movement that has reached millions globally.

Known for its teachings on healing, prosperity, and spiritual awakening, Unity continues to offer timeless principles that resonate across generations, encouraging individuals to live with faith, purpose, and an elevated consciousness. Its legacy of spiritual transformation remains vibrant and relevant today.

Our Services and Classes

Our sermons are held fortnightly, with prayer and Bible classes preceding each sermon. All sermons and classes are available both online and in person. We appreciate your arrival five minutes early to ensure a smooth start.

By popular request, we take a profound and necessary turn into something a little different.

REV.RACHEL WOTTEN

Rev. Rachel Wotten brings decades of expertise in ministry, spiritual healing, and corporate leadership. With a diverse background as a military sergeant, corporate executive, and spiritual healer, she offers unique and compassionate guidance for life transitions, personal growth, and spiritual clarity.

Rachel holds a Master of Divinity from Unity Worldwide Ministries and is nearing the completion of her Spiritual Direction certification at Mount Saint Mary’s University.

Drawing from her rich and varied life experience, Rachel serves as both compass and lighthouse—helping others navigate life’s uncertain waters while illuminating the way toward deeper purpose mystical principles and spiritual awakening.
